Process Log 10/12 - 10/16

Goals From Last Week: I completed all of my previous goals by beginning research on educational programs and also filling out my mentor information sheet when Mr. Crockom confirmed that she would be able to mentor me.

Mentor: I finally got a confirmed mentor this week and Mrs. Crockom and I have begun to discuss possible meeting dates and times for this cycle and, if a meeting is not possible this cycle, for the next 9 weeks. I want to begin forming some questions for her when we do meet in order to make the most of it and not waste her time.

Research/Product: This week I began research on educational programs as well as worked on my first presentation I will give next week. Regarding my final poiso focus I decided that caffeine poisoning was not a suitable topic as I plan to focus on the age group most susceptible to poisonings, children ages 10 and under. As I continue to research I will be able to pick the perfect topic to do my final topic over. I found a very useful article this week from NOAA about how they develop educational programs and I plan to use some of their tips in conjunction with my mentor's knowledge to develop an effective program.

Goals for Next Week: My goals for next week are to continue to research educational programs to help form a guideline for my product and to schedule my mentor meeting with Mrs. Crockom for this, or next, cycle.
