Process Log: 11/3 - 12/4

Goals from Last Week: I did not have any goals from the previous week as it was a holiday, but in regard to the week before that I did accomplish my goals of beginning to put together the lesson plan and meet with my mentor and Mrs. Watson about my product. Mentor: This week I exchanged several emails with my mentor about the product before deciding to meet up again to further discuss it. We are currently planning to meet this weekend to discuss how I will measure impact of my product in each case possible (HISD accepts or not) since if HISD does not accept I may only have one school to gather results from. Research: This week I focused on designing the outline of my lesson plan and coming up with ideas on how to implement poison education in each class since I plan to have different activities for different subjects. So far I have found a helpful site with suggestions like creating graphs of poison statisitcs in math, having a class discussion in english, or creating a collage of potentially toxic substances in art. Goals for Next Week: My goals for next week are to finish putting together an outline of my lesson plan with at least a listing of what activities will be in each class in each grade. I also want to further investigate how to best measure impact, especially by asking my mentor and Mrs. Watson.
