Goals from last week: I am close to accomplishing my goal from last week as I am almost finished developing my product. However since I still haven’t met this goal I created a plan to get back on track and not fall behind for the next checkpoint. With this plan I should be able to finish my activities, have a mentor review, and finish the other aspects of my product (parent guide, survey) by the end of next week along with the other tasks I have scheduled.

Mentor: Mrs. Crockom and I had originally planned to meet during the week to discuss and review the work on the product so far. However, she had to ask to push the meeting back to this Saturday at 10 since she was so busy. This will not negatively affect my project because I am behind on product development, so the extra time will allow me to work more on the activities and make them more presentable. This meeting will be absolutely crucial to my project as without some sort of support from the Texas Poison Control Center, I don’t believe anyone would be willing to try my product.

Product: This week I continued to work on the activities for my product. I have completely finished the six activities for first grade, five for second grade, and all but one of the four for third grade. Since some of the activities for fourth and fifth are already done, I am very close to finishing the rough base for my product. I do still need to use the survey outline I wrote to make the survey and further develop the parent guide, but those tasks will not take nearly as much time as creating the activities did.

Goals for Next Week: My goals for next week are to follow my plan to finish the last of the activities, create the survey, and also meet all of the other tasks I have assigned for that week. I also want to run the working product by my mentor this weekend and get some feedback in case anything needs to be changed.
